About the Role

We’re looking for a detail‑oriented, highly organized Oil & Gas Land Technician to support our land department with document management, data analysis, and coordination of land-related activities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with contracts and records, and has a strong interest in land, mineral rights, and energy operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track and monitor internal documents, workflows, and processes
  • Prepare and assist with various contracts and oil and gas agreements
  • Prepare general, routine correspondence for others’ signature
  • Submit and review invoices, coding appropriately and ensuring timely approvals are obtained 
  • Prepare and submit proposal letters to partners on well drilling, workover, completions, etc.
  • Track lease obligations, payments, expirations, and critical deadlines
  • Maintain, organize, and update land, lease, and mineral ownership records
  • Review and process land agreements, contracts, and title documents
  • Assist Landmen with research, mapping, and due diligence
  • Assist Landmen in preparation of contracts, JOA’s, oil and gas leases, assignments, notices and other applicable documents
  • Support acquisition and divestiture activities through document review and data validation
  • Assist with internal/external audits, data conversions, and special projects
  • Enter and manage data in land management software (e.g., Quorum, Enverus, iLandMan)
  • Prepare reports, exhibits, and documentation for internal teams and regulatory filings
  • Communicate with internal departments, external partners, and landowners as needed



Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Business, Land Administration, or related field (preferred)
  • Experience in land, title, or oil & gas administration is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document review
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with land systems is a bonus
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to discern work in need of escalation
  • Proven ability to identify potential issues in daily work
